Freezer Friendly
Freezer Friendly
If an item is marked “FF Freezer Friendly,” the entrée or protein part of the meal can be frozen and reheated later.
To freeze, wrap the container tightly with plastic wrap, then neatly with foil. Or vice versa. Either way, two layers is best. (If you only have one of these materials, double-wrap it.) Round plastic containers do not need to be wrapped as they are already airtight.
To reheat, first thaw out the container by putting it in the fridge overnight and/or for most of a day. When it is fully thawed, follow the reheating instructions on the label (or find instructions here.)
Remember to give yourself a lot of time. Most freezer friendly items are soups and casseroles, which are dense and can take awhile to thaw!
