Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver to my area?

If you live inside of 470, we deliver to you. This includes all of Denver, Arvada, Aurora, Broomfield, Centennial, Cherry Hills Village, Greenwood Village, Lakewood, Littleton, Northglenn, Superior, Thornton, Westminster and Wheat Ridge. We also deliver to Highlands Ranch, Ken Caryl, Lone Tree, the eastern parts of Golden (not uphill), and the “Stonegate,” or newer, northwest part of Parker. Enter your zip code above to confirm if you’re in our delivery area!

What if I can’t be home for my delivery?

We ask that you leave a cooler on your porch and our driver will place your order inside with ice packs. (Milk coolers work, too.) If you don’t have a cooler, we will loan you a cooler bag for temporary use.

You only deliver on Sunday?

Indeed. Spend less time on your phone or computer managing orders, deliveries, etc. Order once and eat all week, is what we like to say. A little planning goes a long way toward a more healthy and less stressful week.

Do you accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions?

We offer dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian options every week. If you have additional dietary requirements (e.g., a nut allergy) please indicate this in the Special Comments box when placing your order.

How do you portion your meals?

Our meals are portioned family-style. Two-serving meals are generally portioned into one container. (For example, chicken pot pie for two will arrive in one container.) We portion our proteins and sides based on weight: generally 4-6 ounces of protein per serving, and approximately 6 ounces of a side dish per serving, depending on various factors.

Is the beef and chicken you use hormone and antibiotic free?

Yes! We serve beef and chicken that is naturally-raised, hormone-free and antibiotic-free.

Can I put the containers directly in the oven or microwave?

Yes. Our natural fiber containers are oven and microwave-safe. We limit the amount of plastic containers as much as possible.

Can I freeze these meals to eat later?

Some freeze better than others. Look for the blue “*Freezer Friendly” label when placing your order if you intend to freeze something. To freeze our food, what you want to do is wrap the natural fiber container in a layer or two of plastic wrap and/or foil before putting it in the freezer. To reheat from frozen, pull the wrapped container(s) from the freezer and put it in the fridge to thaw. (This can take awhile, plan accordingly!) Then, follow the instructions on the label for reheating.

I have other questions. Who can I ask?

Email is the best way to get in touch with us. Write to orders@thespicyradish.com. For anything specifically food-related, email Katie the chef. For anything order or delivery-related, email Chris the operations manager.
